A little girl has been reunited with her cat – six
years after she held a funeral for him. Isabella Beddy – who is now nine – lost
her best friend Sid when she was three. Her dad Daniel Cope, 34, saw a dead cat
he was convinced was Sid being picked up off the road. He asked the bin man for
the body, and the family held a funeral for him in their back garden. Isabella
was devastated – Sid, who was just a kitten at the time, used to walk her to
pre-school every day. But it turns out the cat wasn’t Sid, and that Sid was
alive, but missing. The family, who now live in Carshalton, Surrey, were
stunned when – six years later – they got a call from Wallington Animal Rescue
in Sussex saying he had been found and could come home. […]
