'HIV' rumors
A man has been detained for allegedly spreading a
rumor about “an AIDS patient selling blood to spread the HIV virus” over the
Internet, Shanghai police said on Monday. The 25-year-old, surnamed Gong, made
up the rumor and posted it on his public WeChat account in October this year,

claims of ‘Jakadala’ outbreak

non-existent, findings by health officials reveal
Medics in Migori say claims of an emergence of a new
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) in the area is a hoax. Health teams
dispatched to the eight sub-counties to investigate the reports of the disease
nicknamed ‘Jakadala’ found out that there was no such STI in all the public and
private health facilities. […]
