people attacked with needles in Northbridge
An 18-year-old has
described the terrifying moment she woke in the bathroom of a Northbridge club
unable to move or speak after she suspects she was stabbed with a needle
containing a stupefying “date rape” drug. […] It was one of three alleged
needle attacks in Northbridge on the weekend — with a man turning up to Royal
Perth Hospital about the same time as Shayna [Karniewicz] on Friday evening, saying he was stabbed
in the arm while walking near the WA Museum site. Another teenage girl went to
RPH on Saturday night with similar symptoms to Shayna, allegedly after an

where a teenager feared she was stabbed with a needle claims CCTV does not show
anyone grabbing her arm as she walked through the venue on Friday evening. […] CCTV
from the club does show the teen clutch her right arm and turn to look behind
her as she nears the bathroom. Several minutes later security staff are called
to the bathroom and help carry her outside. […]

NCRPO brands shabu planting of valet parking boys as a hoax
The National Capital Region Police
Office (NCRPO) has branded as a hoax a circulating social media post about the
alleged ‘shabu-planting’ scheme of valet parking boys of a posh hotel in
Manila. […] The circulating message alleges that the valet parking attendant
would plant at least two sachets of shabu [methamphetamine] inside the vehicle.
They would then tip the nearby policemen conducting checkpoint about the
alleged illegal drugs. The cops would then allegedly extort money from the car
owner. The negotiation for the dropping of charges would allegedly start at

people after a series of attacks on ethnic Roma people in the suburbs of Paris
following false rumours that they had abducted children, a police source told AFP
on Tuesday. The violence on Monday night occurred in Clichy-sous-Bois and
Bobigny, deprived suburbs northeast of Paris, but no injuries were reported,
the source said on condition of anonymity. The confrontations appeared to have
been sparked by false reports of individuals driving a white van who had
