In a church’s ashes, firefighters find unexpected survivors:
Bibles, untouched by flame
Within hours, the small West
Virginia church where the Rev. Phil Farrington and his congregation had
worshiped for the past several years was gone. […] Fire officials said the
structure sustained heavy damage. But when it was over and firefighters were
combing through the rubble, they uncovered church possessions that had
survived: Bibles. […] The Coal City Fire Department posted pictures
on Facebook showing the Bibles, which had been collected into a pile
on the soot-stained ground. […]

This Guy Fooled The Montreal Police With A Car Made Of Snow
A prank intended to fool snow
removers in Montreal snagged a much more delicious target: the cops. This snow
car was made by Montrealer Simon Laprise, a 33-year-old machinist and
woodworker. […] An officer was photographed

made our night!!!" with a smiley face. […]

that is covered in snow. It’s a detail diabolical in its simplicity. Laprise
told VICE that the windshield wiper was a “stroke of luck” as he simply found
it across the street when making the car. No wonder the cops were fooled. […]

Nebraska family built a lifelike Ford Mustang out of snow,
and a state trooper gave it a ticket
A family in northwest Nebraska
built a Ford Mustang out of snow so lifelike that a state trooper gave it a
ticket. […] Jason Blundell, a
43-year-old concrete plant manager, and his two teenage kids […] spent five
hours sculpting a clone of the 1967 Ford Mustang GTA that they store in their
garage, then they posted a photo to Facebook. That caught the eye of Nebraska
State Patrol Sgt. Mick Downing, who attends the same church as the family. He
drove by and recorded himself giving the sculpted car a pretend tow notice,
then posted the video on the patrol’s social media channels. […]
