This year’s collection of reports begins with what has
become a Halloween tradition: police warning parents to look out for THC
edibles in their kids’ candy collection.

the Nerds Rope edibles containing 400mg of THC found during a search warrant in
Stoney Creek Twp. During this Halloween, we urge parents to be ever vigilant in
checking their children’s candy before allowing them to consume those treats.
Drug laced edibles are package[d] like regular candy and may be hard to
distinguish from the real candy.

after Waterbury residents reported finding razor blades in their children’s
Halloween baskets. Thursday night, police received multiple reports of loose
razor blades being found in candy baskets in the 102 Horseshoe Drive area of

believed to be responsible for the incident, was taken into custody and

YUMA, AZ — Police in Yuma say an investigation found
no evidence that a child ate any tainted Halloween candy. They say a child who collected
candy at two Halloween events in Yuma reportedly became lethargic and had other
symptoms last Thursday night. Police say the 3-year-old had dilated pupils and
"abnormal behavior." They say unwrapped red fish type of chewable
gummy resembling a type known to contain THC was found in a container the child
used to collect candy. THC is a compound found in marijuana. The unidentified
child was examined at a hospital and the piece of suspicious candy was tested. Police
announced Tuesday that their investigation found no evidence of the child
ingesting any illicit drug or harmful substance and no evidence showing any of
her collected candy was tainted.
